Project Description: Blue Jobs through Blue Careers. Shaping the future of fisheries and aquaculture in developing a training pathway for young people and adults to acquire the competencies and skills needed to support the EU Green Deal and contribute to Blue Growth. By providing professional training and fostering strong collaborative networks in the EU, BOUTCAR seeks to raise awareness and attractiveness in Blue Careers.
An innovative alliance of leading companies, associations, and universities from the EU. Together, we are devolping an exciting educational path aimed at enhancing knowledge of blue economy in the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
Europe’s coasts and seas have the potential to generate growth and employment in the coming years. The BOUTCAR project will generate highly qualified and skilled professionals to achieve European coasts and seas’ economic blue growth.
It aims to develop a training pathway for young people and adults in blue economy, develop competences and skills needed to support EU Green Deal initiatives promoting sustainable blue economy.
It will develop opportunities for fishermen through professional qualification and skills development to operate in the different contexts of offshore wind areas, creating strong collaborative networks at EU level, and raise awareness and attractiveness of “blue careers” among students and young professionals.

Project Description: Market Uptake Measures of Floating Offshore Wind Technology Systems. Identifying bottlenecks and potential opportunities to strengthen floating offshore wind's technology role in delivering innovative solutions to system integration and will consider how best to integrate such a system by exploring the market, policy and regulations issues, social, financial and techno-economic optimal solutions, and provision for storage and flexibility recommendations.

Project Description: Enhancing sustainability training of fishermen and women on marine ecology and the role of fishing in the marine ecosystem. Exchanging new pefagogical/training methods and development of country/region specific training programs and content in 7 EU countries.
